Some cartoon effects for texts and simple drawings.
The original version of the curves is in the bottom right corner, and as you can see got only one solid color per curve.

If you put it in the Inkscape\share\filters folder of the 0.47 version you'll be able to access them from "Filters" toolbar (Filters>Cartoon)

BTW let me know if they're good or bad or if you want to request some other filters or if you want to customize them but don't know how. Most of them are customizable if you understand how filters work. Hope they're useful :D

If you tell me the problem maybe I can help. A common problem I found is of scaling. The filters only work for specific scale, unless you know how to customize them that is. If the object is too big the effect can be too small and vice versa.

If that's the problem then using the egg things in my svg as a size guide might be useful. Just start the object in roughly the same size and then you can immediately resize it the intended size while retaining the visual.

Thanks. I just love the filters in Inkscape. Really hope they create new user interface for it though, the one right now kinda gets cluttered fast.

BTW I'm trying to join the Inkscapers group and sending my filters to its gallery. I hope they're good enough. I'm not much of an illustrator my self so I thought maybe they'd do better in other people's hand. cheers

They are definitely good enough. I think many Inkscapers will be amazed that you can do what you've done with filters.
